3 Rankings Recognize UC Davis for Research, Social Mobility, Value

The University of California, Davis, has received accolades for its research, the value for the dollar and the social mobility it offers graduates in three separate rankings published this month.

Forbes named UC Davis to its Top 25 Public Colleges in the nation in rankings released Tuesday (Aug. 26). The magazine noted that UC Davis students graduate with a median of $11,000 in debt — the lowest among the public standouts.

The University of California, Davis, has been ranked 17th among 705 colleges and universities in Money magazine’s 2016 “Best Colleges,” measuring educational quality, affordability and career earnings.

In its report released today (July 11), Money said UC Davis is "an affordable school that produces results." The magazine noted that about 43 percent of the student body is considered low-income, but the �ԹϺ�� still has a six-year graduation rate of 83 percent — well above the average for schools with a comparable population of students.
